Most extension marketing is aimed at twenty-somethings who want mermaid length. That’s not who quietly searches for hair extensions near me at this end of the I-15. More often it’s a woman whose ponytail is half the thickness it used to be, whose part looks wider in photos than it does in her head, and who has been eyeing toppers and halo pieces online without being sure any of it would look like her.
Extensions can fix that, and done well, nobody will know they’re there. Kasey is a Babe-certified extension specialist, the fitting happens in a private one-chair studio rather than a row of open chairs, and the goal for most clients here isn’t length at all. It’s volume: putting back the fullness that thinning, menopause, and changing texture have taken out.

Hair changes after 45. Strands get finer, density drops, and texture shifts, so even a good cut can only create so much fullness from hair that isn’t there. That’s the honest limit of cutting, and it’s where extensions take over.
A single row of weft placed low and wrapped by your own hair can thicken a ponytail and fill out the bottom third of your hair. A partial set of tape-ins can rebuild fullness through the sides, where thinning shows most in photos. None of it has to add an inch of length. Matched to your color, including salt-and-pepper and blended gray, the result reads as “her hair looks great” rather than “she got extensions.”
If you’ve researched toppers or halo pieces, you already understand the goal: coverage and volume without commitment. Salon extensions solve the same problem, but they’re fitted to your head, matched to your hair professionally, and they don’t come off on your nightstand or shift during the day. If a topper genuinely is the better answer for your situation, for instance concentrated thinning right at the crown, Kasey will say so at the consultation rather than sell you rows you don’t need.
Weft ($160 per row): A continuous curtain of hair attached in a row against the scalp. The workhorse for volume. Most fine-haired clients start with one or two rows.
Tape-in ($260 for a full set): Thin, flat panels taped between slim sections of your own hair. Lightweight and flexible, and because the weight spreads across a flat strip instead of a point, it’s one of the gentlest methods for fine hair.
Micro-link ($360): Small strand-by-strand attachments, no heat and no adhesive. The most precise placement, useful for filling specific areas.
About the hair itself: it’s priced separately, and you should know that up front. The prices above are the installation. The extension hair is its own cost, which varies with the length, amount, and quality you choose; high-grade hair that matches yours and lasts through months of wear costs more than bargain hair, and it’s the difference between invisible and obvious. Kasey will quote your total, installation plus hair, at the consultation before anything is ordered. No number on this page is designed to surprise you later.
The part most extension pages skip:
Thinning hair is personal, and plenty of women would rather not discuss it three feet from a stranger’s foil appointment. The Salon 619 is a private one-chair studio inside Sola Salon Studios in Carmel Mountain Ranch. Your consultation and fitting are one-on-one, the conversation stays in the room, and you can take your hair down, part it, and show Kasey exactly what’s bothering you without an audience.
Not when they’re matched to what your hair can carry. Damage comes from too much weight or poor placement. This is exactly what certification training covers: choosing the method, row weight, and placement your density can support. If your hair can’t safely hold extensions, Kasey will tell you at the consultation.
Yes. Salt-and-pepper, blended, and highlighted hair can all be matched, sometimes by blending more than one shade of extension hair. Bring photos of your hair in daylight to the consultation; matching is half the craft.
Installation runs $160 per weft row, $260 for a full tape-in set, or $360 for micro-links, plus the extension hair, which is priced by length, amount, and quality. You’ll get a complete quote, hair included, before anything is ordered.
Move-ups run roughly every six to eight weeks as your hair grows. The extension hair itself is reused across visits until it wears out.
Yes. Tie hair back for workouts, rinse promptly after chlorine or salt water, and keep up the home care. Swimming shortens the life of the hair somewhat, so mention it at the consultation if you’re in the pool a lot.
Start with a single weft row. It’s the smallest, most reversible step, it comes out cleanly, and it’s usually enough to show you what fuller hair looks like on you.
