If you live in Rancho Bernardo, you have no shortage of salons. What’s been harder to find is a colorist who specializes in the thing so many RB women are actually dealing with: gray. Covering it, blending it, or finally growing it out, without being talked into any of the three.
That’s the work Kasey Erokhin does all day at The Salon 619, a private one-chair studio inside Sola Salon Studios in Carmel Mountain Ranch. From most of Rancho Bernardo it’s about five minutes down the I-15. That’s closer than a lot of the salons inside RB itself, depending on which side of Bernardo Center Dr you’re on.

Three reasons come up again and again.
It’s private. Just you and Kasey, one chair in a private suite. No row of strangers listening while you explain that you’re tired of feeling like a slave to the dye. For a lot of women, that alone is worth the drive.
It’s specialized. Kasey is a Vidal Sassoon-trained colorist who has built her studio around gray work (blending, coverage, and guided transitions), plus the cuts that flatter fine or thinning hair. Rancho Bernardo skews older than most of San Diego, and most local salons still market to everyone. This one doesn’t.
She listens. It’s the phrase that shows up in review after review: “she really listens.” The consultation maps out what you want: cover it, blend it, or embrace it. Nobody pushes you toward silver, or away from it.
Every price is published on the pricing page before you ever sit down. No surprises at checkout.
From Rancho Bernardo Rd or Bernardo Center Dr, hop on I-15 south and take the Carmel Mountain Rd exit. The studio is at Sola Salon Studios, 12004 Carmel Mountain Road, Suite 15, in the shopping center just off the freeway. From southern RB you may not even need the freeway. Either way, plan on about five minutes, with free parking right outside the door. Walk straight back to Suite 15. There’s no front desk to check in with and no waiting area to sit in.
One client wrote that Kasey “covered ALL my grey hairs” and brought her back to her “normal old self.” Others mention leaving the chair feeling beautiful for the first time in years. If you want to see the work itself, the before-and-after gallery shows real gray blends and transitions on real clients, not filtered inspiration photos.

Yes. A large share of the studio’s regulars come down from RB. The easiest way to start is a consultation: a real conversation about your hair and your options, not a sales pitch.
It’s the most common starting point in the chair. The consultation walks through all three paths (keep covering, start blending, or grow it out) with honest pricing and maintenance timelines for each, so you can decide on your own terms.
